PATIN TRADING Pty Ltd
Patin Trading was established as an Associated Company in May 2006 with Ronnie Dick (Director)
and
Carlo du Plessis (Managing Director). Their mission? To establish highly successful Cattle
Baron
Franchised outlets throughout Gauteng which manage and operate their businesses so as
to
produce superior quality products and exceed customer expectations in a highly competitive
market. Carlo du Plessis first joined the Cattle Baron Group as the first licensed franchisee in
1996. He and his partners own and operate two original and highly successful franchised stores -
namely, the Cattle Baron Steak Ranches in Tokai and Table View. Carlo's vision for Patin is to
select only exceptional sites and highly competent Franchisees so as to ensure a successful
expansion programme which intends opening three new Gauteng Cattle Baron outlets per year.
R & R GRILLS cc
R and R Grills was incepted in 2004 through a relationship between Ronnie Dick (Cattle Baron CEO)
and Ryan Richens. Ryan had joined the Cattle Baron Group 6 years previously as a Kitchen
Manager for the Cattle Baron Durbanville and had speedily ascended in rank to the position of
Head Chef. Thereafter, Ronnie and Ryan originated the concept of a Cattle Baron Grill House and
opened their first Grill House in Newlands, Cape Town.
The partnership and concept was an
immediate success, with the Cattle Baron Grill House in
Newlands winning National Steakhouse of
the Year in 2002. Public demand indicated the need for
such a "refined" Cattle Baron concept in
the Northern Suburbs and so another successful Cattle
Baron Grill House was opened in the
Tyger Waterfront in 2004. With two successful and well-
supported Grill Houses underway, it
seemed the natural progression to commence with a
National Franchise roll out for the Cattle
Baron Grill House concept. Thereafter, the international
market beckons....
